High Peak is four modern A-frame cabins two blocks above downtown West Jefferson, North Carolina, at about 3,100 feet above sea level. It is locally owned by Richard and Michelle Brown of Harmonious Abodes.
Each cabin tells a different part of the West Jefferson story — Ashe County’s working farms and Fraser fir fields at The Farm A-Frame Cabin (11 High Drive, handicapped friendly), the railroad town chartered in 1915 at The West Jefferson A-Frame Cabin (19 High Drive), the High Country landscapes that invite you to explore at The Nature A-Frame Cabin (25 High Drive), and the original Cozy A-Frame Cabin at 7 High Drive. Stay above the town. Walk to downtown. Explore the mountains. They were designed to feel connected to the place around them, not simply decorated with a theme and not a generic mountain rental. Lighted walking trails connect the cabins to a shared covered gathering area and fireplace overlooking town and Paddy Mountain.
All four cabins use smart-lock self-check-in. Check-in is 4:00 PM; checkout is 11:00 AM.
