What the town guide already says
The West Jefferson guide says the festival was founded in 1987 to celebrate the county’s Christmas tree growers, and that it has filled Main Street on the first weekend of July since then. It describes two days of mountain music, regional craft and food vendors, children’s activities, a farmers market, and Santa in July. The guide calls it free and volunteer-run, and says to book early for that weekend.
